Gutter sealing in Kingston Stert, done properly
Across Kingston Stert, we reseal gutter joints, end caps and roofline trims. Low-level work is straightforward, and for higher work, tell us about access and we’ll confirm what’s needed. We work on roofline trims, garage door frames and uPVC fascias, and common reasons people get in touch are drips from gutter joints and end caps and quick sealant fixes on gutters that didn’t last.
Older homes in small places like Kingston Stert may be stone, brick or timber-framed, often with later extensions. Where one material meets another is where water usually gets in, and they need the right sealant at the right depth.
A one-year guarantee comes as standard.

The process
Good joint work is mostly preparation, so that is where we spend the time. Every joint is cleaned and dried before new material goes in. All told, the work takes a few hours, depending on the number of joints and the access. Somewhere as small as Kingston Stert, access is often the only tricky part. For outside work, also let us know about exposed walls and any outbuildings involved.
- We look at where the water is coming from and check the gutter is not broken or sagging.
- Old sealant and dirt are removed from the joint.
- We make sure the joint is dry before sealing.
- An exterior or gutter sealant is applied to the joint.
- The run is checked and any debris near the joints is cleared.

Leave it or put it right?
Sealant won’t clear a blocked downpipe. We look at what’s really happening and point you to the right trade if needed. Where a wall is exposed, as many are in small places like Kingston Stert, wind-driven rain gets into any failed joint, and older walls, once damp, take a long time to dry.
Combining jobs into one visit normally makes better use of the time than several visits, so it’s worth mentioning everything you’d like done. We’ll give you a clear price for the lot.

For landlords and businesses
Failed sealant is one of the commonest items on a check-out report, and it’s quick to put right between tenancies. Several properties can be quoted together.
We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Send the address, what’s needed and the access arrangements and we’ll give you a quote.
Should I try it myself first?
Sealing over old silicone is the commonest DIY error. New silicone won’t bond to old, so it peels away and traps moisture behind it. All the old material has to come out first.
If you do try it yourself, take your time over the preparation: take out all the old sealant, make sure the joint is clean and dry, and give it the full cure time. If it fails, we can still redo it.
What the job involves on each surface
Garage door frames
Resealing a garage door frame keeps rain and draughts out.
Soffit joints
Gaps at soffit joints can let in draughts and insects. A neat seal closes them.
Honest limits
We won’t take on work that won’t last, so here’s what sealant cannot put right:
- Roof leaks, slipped tiles or failed flashing (a roofer’s job)
- Water backing up from a blocked pipe
- Cracked, split or warped gutter sections
Not sure which it is? You can phone 0345 464 0079 or email us and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.

Outside joints around Kingston Stert
London and the South East are among the drier parts of the UK, yet outdoor joints still have to be sealed dry, so jobs are booked with the weather in mind. With historic houses such as Adwell House (about 2.1 miles south-west) nearby, there’s older building stock in the area around Kingston Stert as well as newer homes. Where a home is older, older walls and rooflines need a sealant that moves with them and suits the material.
If you let a flat or house near Princes Risborough station, a gutter joint that drips onto the wall can turn into a damp complaint, so it’s worth checking. For site and facilities teams at buildings such as Aston Rowant Church of England Primary School, movement joints, cladding joints and gutters on larger buildings need the same care as a house’s. If you live in an older home near Church of St Mary, old and new materials meet at the roofline and walls, which is where sealant earns its keep.

Common questions in Kingston Stert
Can you do gutter sealing in Kingston Stert?
Yes, Kingston Stert is within the area we cover. We work across London and the South East. You can ring 0345 464 0079 or send us an email and let us know what needs doing, and we will give you a clear price.
Can you help a landlord with a rental near Princes Risborough station?
Yes, we work for landlords and letting agents. Just call 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email and tell us about the property, and we’ll give you a clear price.
Is it messy?
Very little: the area around the joints is protected first, and we clear up the old sealant and our materials before we leave.
Can I choose the sealant colour?
Yes. White, clear and grey are common, and other colours are available for many products, and we agree the colour with you before any work starts.
Can new sealant go over the old?
No. Fresh sealant does not stick to old sealant, and anything trapped underneath, including mould and water, stays there. It all has to come out first.
Is sealing fascia joints something you do?
Yes. We seal the joints, not replace the boards and we’ll let you know if a board has failed.
Do you do commercial work?
Yes, regularly. We can plan bigger jobs in stages.
Do you take out the old sealant first?
Always. Sealing over the old bead is the commonest cause of early failure, so we never do it.

What affects the cost of gutter sealing
Every job gets its own quote. This is what makes a difference:
- Whether there’s mould to deal with
- The size of the job
- The product the joint needs
- Whether the work is at height
Homes and businesses are quoted the same way: the amount of work, how we reach it and what it needs, along with when we can work on site. Ask us for a quote and we’ll go through it with you.
Helping us quote
Photos by email are helpful but not essential. Please mention:
- How many joints, rooms or windows are involved
- The type of property
- Photos by email, if that’s easy
- Whether it has been sealed before
It all starts with a short chat. Tell us what’s wrong, where it is and how much there is. Whenever you’re ready, ring 0345 464 0079 or email us.
