Commercial Sealant in Gartocharn
Our applicators work in Gartocharn on sealant work for offices, hotels, washrooms and commercial buildings. Old sealant removed completely, joints prepared properly.
- Shower leaks reaching the floor below
- Whole floors of tired en suites
- Split sealant around staff kitchen worktops and sinks
Why deal with it now?
Replacing a whole washroom takes time, money and several trades. When the fittings are sound, renewing the sealant brings it back with far less upheaval. We’ll tell you if we find anything that needs another trade. In a place like Gartocharn, small leaks are easy to put off, but water through a failed joint keeps working away until it’s fixed.
The cost reflects the work involved, not guesswork. That is why we ask about the job first and give you a clear price before work begins.
Why book with us

Commercial sealant in Gartocharn, done properly
Guest bathrooms are cleaned every day and used by different people every night, so sealant wears out faster than it would at home. Rooms are resealed in batches, so only a few are out of use at once, with a cure time for each room so housekeeping know when to release it. Typical jobs include whole floors of tired en suites and rental bathrooms that need resealing between tenants, on office washrooms & kitchens, retail & leisure sites and welfare facilities.
Work in a place like Gartocharn is planned ahead, journey included, so the job can fit around guests, residents or opening hours where possible.
All our work comes with a 12-month guarantee, wherever you are in West Dunbartonshire.

Can I do it myself?
If you do try it yourself, take your time over the preparation: remove every trace of old sealant, clean and dry the joint, and follow the product’s cure time. If it fails, we can still redo it.
Not every job suits DIY: work at height, external movement joints, fire-rated sealant and large areas need the right product, the right access and the right method.
When something else is needed
It helps to know what we can’t do too:
- A shower tray, bath or basin that’s cracked or broken
- Water damage behind the tiles that needs a tiler or builder
- Extraction that is not working, which needs an electrician or ventilation contractor
If in doubt, email us at info@mrmastic.co.uk and we will say what we think.

For landlords and businesses
Hotels need rooms back in use, so we plan the work room by room around your bookings where we can. Hotel work is part of what we do, alongside homes and businesses.

How the visit works
The work is kept neat and contained to the joints we’re treating, so you can carry on as normal. The job usually takes a few hours per area, with larger sites planned over several visits. Outdoor work around Gartocharn depends on the weather, as sealant needs a dry surface, so an outdoor job can move if the forecast changes. Indoor work goes ahead whatever the weather.
- The first visit is a look round the site to agree the scope.
- We agree when we will work, with early or out-of-hours slots where they can be arranged.
- Areas are protected and the failed sealant removed.
- Once dry, every joint is resealed and tooled.
- We let your team know the cure time for every area.
How to prepare
- Keep children and pets away from the work area
- Let us know if you’ve seen damp or leaks
- On commercial sites, let us know about site rules

Advice
Looking after it afterwards
How long the joints last depends on use and care. We suggest:
- Schedule work around occupancy
- Note the date each area was done
- Get split or lifting joints looked at early
- Tell cleaning staff when each room can be used
We give a cure time for every area we finish, generally around 24 hours. Make sure housekeeping or cleaning staff know it so the new sealant is not wetted or scrubbed too soon.
Black sealant in a staff washroom or guest bathroom draws complaints. Left long enough, it spreads through the bead, and only replacement fixes it.

FAQs for Gartocharn
Do you work for landlords with property near Balloch Central station?
Yes, we work for letting agents and landlords. Just send an email to info@mrmastic.co.uk and tell us about the property, and we’ll give you a clear price.
Do you cover smaller places like Gartocharn?
Yes, smaller places are covered as well as towns. Our work covers the whole of Scotland. Just mention lanes, gates or anything else about the route when you book.
How long does commercial sealant take?
As a guide, most jobs take a few hours per room, so whole buildings are phased. Larger jobs naturally take longer, and we’ll tell you how long to expect.
What do you put in the joint?
We choose the sealant for the joint, not the other way round. Where it moves, gets wet or faces the weather makes a difference.
Where is Mr Mastic based?
We are based in Crawley, West Sussex, and we work across South East England, London and Scotland.
Do I have to be there?
For indoor joints, yes, someone needs to let us in. Once we’ve agreed the job, you do not need to watch us work.
Can you quote for more than one area?
Of course. Doing several areas at once is usually more efficient.
Can you work outside opening hours?
That can be arranged for many jobs. The hours are agreed before work starts.
