Commercial sealant for Crow's Green homes and businesses

Why deal with it now?

Sealant is easy to forget until an audit or inspection is due. Booking it in good time leaves room for the cure time before the visit. In a small place like Crow's Green, homes can be exposed to wind and rain, which finds any gap, and older walls, once damp, take a long time to dry.

Homes and businesses are quoted the same way: the amount of work, how we reach it and what it needs, plus any working-time requirements on site. Ask us for a quote and we will explain what it covers.

What you get with us

  • More than 20 years in sealant work

Commercial sealant in Crow's Green

Mouldy or split sealant in a commercial building causes more than a bad impression. It’s a cleaning problem, a leak risk and something guests and staff notice. We reseal bathrooms, washrooms, welfare areas and kitchens so they look cared for again. Typical jobs include mouldy washroom sealant that staff and guests notice and whole floors of tired en suites, on student & care accommodation, hotel bathrooms and welfare facilities.

For holiday lets, converted business premises or a community building near Crow's Green, the washrooms, kitchens and any fire-rated joints need the same care as a big site.

You are covered for a year from the day we finish. If there’s a problem with it, please phone 0345 464 0079 or send us an email.

What we do, step by step

A visit follows a simple pattern: we check the joints, protect the area around them, carry out the job and clear up. It usually takes as long as the scope needs, from one welfare room to a full building. Somewhere as small as Crow's Green, access is often the only tricky part. For outside work, also let us know about exposed walls and any outbuildings involved.

  1. We start by looking at the rooms and agreeing what’s needed.
  2. Working hours are agreed, including early starts or out-of-hours work where it can be arranged.
  3. Areas are protected and the failed sealant removed.
  4. Once dry, every joint is resealed and tooled.
  5. We let your team know the cure time for every area.

Preparing for the visit

  • Mention any parking rules near the property
  • On commercial sites, let us know about site rules
  • Keep children and pets away from the work area

Related advice

Do you need commercial sealant in Crow's Green?

Larger buildings move, and stud walls move more than solid ones. The sealant between walls, trays and fittings absorbs that strain and eventually tear.

Keep an eye out for these signs:

  • Washrooms that need sorting before an inspection
  • Sealant failing again soon after quick repairs
  • Worktop sealant that has shrunk and stained
  • Water marks on ceilings under bathrooms

Community buildings like Church of St James are part of the picture too: any kitchen and washrooms need the same sealant care as any other building.

Crow's Green questions

I let a flat near Braintree station. Can you help?

Yes, rental work is part of what we do. You can phone 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email with the address and a few details, and we’ll give you a fixed price before we start.

Do you cover Crow's Green for commercial sealant?

Yes. We work across London and the South East, and Crow's Green is part of that. Just phone 0345 464 0079 or send us an email with a few details of the job, and we’ll give you a clear price.

How long do rooms need to be out of use?

Most areas can be used after around 24 hours. We give a cure time for each area.

Is it OK to seal over old sealant?

No, and we never do. It can look neat for a few weeks, but the new layer lifts away from the old one. Removing the old sealant completely is the only lasting way.

Do the sealants smell?

It depends on the product. Some smell for a while, some hardly at all, and any smell fades as they cure.

Is it messy?

No. We protect the surfaces around the joints, and we tidy up before we go.

Will the old sealant be removed?

Always. Sealing over old sealant is the main reason resealing fails early, so we never do it.

Can the hotel stay open while you work?

Yes. We agree a batch of rooms for each visit.

How we quote for commercial sealant

We quote each job individually. These are the things that affect it:

  • Mould in or behind the old joints
  • The size of the job
  • How easy the joints are to reach
  • The product the joint needs

Combining jobs into one visit is generally more efficient than separate visits, so it’s worth mentioning everything you’d like done. We will give you a clear price for the lot.

Asking for a quote

To make quoting easier, please include:

  • A few pictures by email, if you can
  • Any access issues, like height or stairs
  • If someone has resealed it before
  • How many joints, rooms or windows are involved

Need a quote? Please ring 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email with a few details. You will know what we plan to do, and what it will cost, before any work begins.

Should I try it myself first?

The biggest DIY mistake is sealing over old sealant. New silicone will not bond to old, so it peels away and traps moisture behind it. All the old material has to come out first.

A DIY attempt does not rule out a professional job. We cut it out and start again.
