Winsor Bathroom Resealing
Problem with your baths, showers and worktops in Winsor? We cut out the old, prepare the joints and apply the right sealant.
- Water getting behind the bath panel
- Lumpy, uneven sealant from a DIY attempt
- Shrunken sealant along the back of a worktop
How the job changes by surface
Shower trays & enclosures
A tray that rocks will split any sealant. Movement is checked before anything is resealed, and tell you if it needs re-bedding first.
Kitchen worktops & upstands
Upstands and back edges are cut out, cleaned of grease and resealed, since cooking leaves a film that stops silicone sticking. The extra cleaning is what makes the bead last.
Bathroom resealing in Winsor, done properly
A reseal only lasts if the joint is properly prepared. The old sealant is removed to the last smear, after which the joint is degreased and any mould treated. New silicone goes on only when the joint is fully dry. If you have sealant that has split, shrunk or peeled away and lumpy, uneven sealant from a DIY attempt, we can help, whatever the surface.
Somewhere as small as Winsor, homes tend to be cottages, farmhouses or converted buildings, with some newer houses too. Movement in older walls and floors tends to show first as cracked grout or split sealant.
A 12-month guarantee comes as standard, so you are covered after we’ve gone.

Winsor homes and their sealant
Most of the South East has hard water, which leaves limescale on sealant, grout and fittings.
For site and facilities teams at buildings such as Copythorne CofE Infant School, its toilets, changing areas and kitchens need their sealant renewed like any other building’s. Rented homes near Ashurst New Forest station change hands often, and mouldy sealant is one of the first things a new tenant notices, so it’s worth renewing between lets.

FAQs for Winsor
Can you help a landlord with a rental near Ashurst New Forest station?
Yes. We work for landlords and letting agents as well as homeowners. You can call 0345 464 0079 or send us an email with the details for a clear quote.
Will you come out to Winsor?
Yes. Winsor is within the area we cover, which takes in towns, villages and rural addresses. We work across London and the South East. Just mention lanes, gates or anything else about the route when you book.
What colours of sealant can you use?
White, clear and a range of colours are available. On a worktop we colour-match where the joint shows.
Will there be a smell?
That depends on the sealant. Some smell for a while, some hardly at all.
Does the resealing come with a guarantee?
Yes. Our 12-month guarantee covers every job, and we’re ARBOMaster approved applicators.
Can you do several jobs on one visit?
Yes, we can. More than one area can go on one quote.
Will you leave a mess?
Tidy work is part of the job. We protect what’s around the joints, and the area is left clean when we finish.
How much does bathroom resealing cost in Winsor?
It depends on the job, so we quote each one individually. For a quick quote, ring 0345 464 0079 or email us and tell us what needs doing and where.
Signs you need bathroom resealing in Winsor
Silicone does not last for ever. Daily water, heat and cleaning products slowly wear it down, and how long it lasts comes down to use, cleaning and ventilation.
Keep an eye out for these signs:
- Gaps between the worktop and the wall
- Failed sealant on the screen profile
- Mouldy sealant that has gone black
- Sealant that has split, shrunk or peeled away
In the older streets around Church of St Mary, walls and floors in older homes can move, and sealant and grout show it first.

What affects the quote in Winsor
Call for a quick quote. What matters most is:
- Whether there’s mould to deal with
- When we can work, for business premises
- How many areas need sealing
- The number and length of the joints
We do not show prices on the website, because the cost depends so much on the job itself. For a quick quote, please call 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email and we will talk you through it.
What to tell us for a quote
Photos help, but a description is a good start. Try to tell us:
- What’s wrong with the joints now
- Roughly how big the job is
- The type of property
- Any previous sealing or DIY work
There’s no standard price list, because every job is different. Instead, we give you a clear price for your job. To get started, call 0345 464 0079 or send us an email.
What happens on the day
We work through the job in order: protect, prepare, seal, tidy. For most jobs that takes a morning or an afternoon for most single baths and showers. For a village or hamlet like Winsor, the journey is planned in advance: tell us about narrow lanes, gates, long drives and where we can park. Everything for the job comes with us, so a second trip is avoided where possible.
- We look at every joint first and check for movement or leaks.
- The old silicone is cut out completely, along with the film it leaves on the tiles.
- Joints are degreased and any mould is treated.
- With the joint dry, and any bath loaded with water, a single bead of anti-fungal silicone is applied.
- We tool the bead to a neat finish and give you the cure time, normally around 24 hours.
Preparing for the visit
- Try not to wet indoor joints just before the visit
- Mention if the joints have been sealed before
- Move anything stored near the joints

Related advice
What happens if it’s left?
A quick bead over the top of the old one might look better for a while, but it will not bond. It lifts, traps water and grows mould behind it, and the next reseal means two layers to cut out. Where a wall is exposed, as many are in small places like Winsor, wind-driven rain gets into any failed joint, and older walls, once damp, take a long time to dry.
A failed joint rarely gets cheaper to fix by waiting. If you’re not sure whether it needs doing, ring 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email and we’ll give you an honest view and a quote.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Winsor
For anyone letting property in or around Winsor, several properties can be quoted together. Send us the addresses and the work at each.
Letting agents often deal with us directly. Tell us the address, the job and how access works and we’ll give you a quote.
Should I try it myself first?
The difference is mostly in the preparation and the product. We take joints back to clean, dry surfaces, and the sealant is matched to the joint and its conditions.
Some jobs are best left to a professional: work at height, external movement joints, fire-rated sealant and large areas call for the right materials, safe access and experience.
