Bathroom resealing in Halland
A bead that has gone black, split or come away is worth sorting before it lets water through. Just call 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email with a photo of the joints, and we’ll send you a clear quote before any work starts. If you’re dealing with two layers of silicone, both failing and leaks into the floor or ceiling below, we can put it right, whatever the surface.
Homes around Halland are mostly houses and cottages rather than flats, some with bathrooms tucked into older rooms or extensions. The work is the same as anywhere: everything old comes out before the new sealant or grout goes in.
We guarantee the work for a year. If there’s a problem with our work within the year, let us know and we’ll sort it.

What we can’t put right
We’d rather tell you now than do work that will not last, so here’s what sealant cannot put right:
- A cracked shower tray or bath (that needs repair or replacement)
- Failed grout lines across the wall
- A bath or tray that moves because it isn’t properly supported
Not sure which it is? You can phone 0345 464 0079 or send us an email and we’ll tell you honestly.
What we seal
- Kitchen worktops & upstands
- Sinks & splashbacks
- Shower trays & enclosures
- Baths
- Basins & vanity units
- Wet rooms
What happens if it’s left?
A failed joint gets more costly to put right the longer it’s left. Once water is behind the bath, it can reach floorboards, panels and the ceiling underneath, and that’s a far bigger job than a reseal. Around Halland, older homes often have timber in their floors and frames, and water through a failed joint can rot timber if it’s left.
Leaving a failed joint usually makes the job bigger, not smaller. If you’re not sure whether it needs doing, ring 0345 464 0079 or send us an email for an honest opinion and a quote.

Halland homes and their sealant
Hard water is the norm across most of the South East, which leaves limescale on sealant, grout and fittings, and it has to be cleaned off before new sealant goes in.
For landlords with property near Uckfield station, fresh sealant around the bath, shower and sink between tenancies helps a property present well and keeps leaks at bay. If you look after a building such as East Hoathly CofE Primary School, washroom and kitchen sealant there needs the same care as at home, and schools and businesses are part of our work as well as homes.

Halland questions
Will you come out to Halland?
Yes, we do. We work across London and the South East, from towns to the smallest places. Longer journeys are simply planned in advance.
Can you do bathroom resealing in Halland?
Yes, Halland is within the area we cover. We work across London and the South East. You can call 0345 464 0079 or send us an email and tell us what needs doing, and we will give you a clear price.
What information do you need?
Just the basics: where it is, what you’ve noticed and how we reach it. Then ring 0345 464 0079 or email us.
Do you work for hotels and businesses?
Yes, regularly. Larger jobs can be planned room by room or area by area to suit the site.
What sealant do you use?
Quality sealants from brands including Arbo and Everbuild, picked for each joint. We explain the product when we quote.
Is there any odour?
Possibly a little. It fades as the sealant cures, and ventilation helps.
How long does it take to reseal a bath or shower?
It depends on how many joints there are and how much old sealant has to come out. Allow a couple of hours for a typical bath or shower.
What does bathroom resealing cost?
Size, access and the old material all affect the cost. Call for a quick quote.
Quotes for bathroom resealing in Halland
The quote reflects the job in front of us. We look at:
- The old material and how stubborn it is
- The type of sealant required
- Whether the work is at height
- The number and length of the joints
Commercial jobs are quoted on the same basis as homes: the amount of work, the access and the products needed. Ask us for a quote and we will explain what it covers.
Helping us quote
What to tell us when you ask for a quote:
- Any previous sealing or DIY work
- What the problem is, such as mould, gaps, leaks or cracking
- Where the property is
- Roughly how big the job is
For a quote, call 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email and tell us where the job is and what the problem looks like. We will give you a clear price before any work starts.
Can I do it myself?
Overfilling a joint is a classic DIY mistake. A thick, smeared bead looks untidy and does not move well, and the joint depth matters as much as the finish.
If you do try it yourself, take your time over the preparation: remove every trace of old sealant, clean and dry the joint, and follow the product’s cure time. If it fails, we can still redo it.
How to look after the new joints
A little care helps the new joints last. We recommend:
- Squeegee the walls and tray after use
- Keep the fan on for a while after bathing
- Never pick at the silicone with a blade
- Check the joints every few months for splits or lifting
Check the sealant now and then. Small splits and lifting ends are easy to catch early, so if something doesn’t look right, just phone 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email.
Worktop joints fail quietly. Water gets behind the upstand and into the edge of a laminate worktop, where it can make the board swell. A reseal in time can save the worktop.
How it works
There’s no need to move everything out, just the space around the work. We protect the rest, and the job takes a morning or an afternoon for most single baths and showers for a typical job. For a village or hamlet like Halland, the journey is planned in advance: tell us about narrow lanes, gates, long drives and where we can park. We bring what the job needs, so it can be finished in one trip where possible.
- We cover the area around the joints we are working on.
- Old sealant is sliced away and the residue removed.
- Mould is treated, then the joint is left to dry thoroughly.
- Any bath is filled with water, then we lay a bead of anti-fungal silicone in white, clear or a matching colour.
- We finish the joint, clear up and tell you how long to leave it before it gets wet.
How to prepare
- Tell us about any previous sealing or DIY attempts
- For indoor joints, keep the area dry beforehand if you can
- Plan for the work area to be out of bounds to pets and children
