Commercial sealant in Sibford Gower

About our commercial sealant in Sibford Gower

In student and care accommodation, there are often many near-identical bathrooms. We agree a programme and work through them in order, fitting around residents and staff. Typical jobs include leaking joints in shower rooms and changing areas and repeated reseals that don’t last, across retail & leisure sites, rental portfolios and welfare facilities.

In a village or hamlet like Sibford Gower, commercial work is more likely to be a pub, a farm shop, holiday lets or a village hall than an office block. They all have washrooms, kitchens and service openings that need the right sealant.

Our work is backed for twelve months, in Sibford Gower and everywhere else we cover.

Quotes for commercial sealant in Sibford Gower

We quote each job individually. This is what makes a difference:

  • Any mould that needs treating
  • How many areas need sealing
  • Which sealant suits the joint
  • Any working-time requirements on site

Doing several joints on one visit generally makes better use of the time than several visits, so tell us about everything that needs sealing. We’ll give you a clear price for the lot.

Asking for a quote

Before you ask for a quote, have a think about:

  • Where the job is, and your postcode
  • Any previous sealing or DIY work
  • Access, such as stairs, a lift or height
  • The rough size of the job

Need a quote? Please call 0345 464 0079 or email us and tell us about the job. We will explain what we’d do and give you a clear price before work begins.

Signs you need commercial sealant in Sibford Gower

Heavy use means more movement: different weights, constant use and daily cleaning all work at the joint. If a tray flexes, the sealant around it splits.

These are the problems we are asked about most:

  • Worktop sealant that has shrunk and stained
  • Silicone laid over old silicone by a previous contractor
  • Too many rooms to reseal without closing the building
  • Leaking joints in shower rooms and changing areas

Managing a site like Sibford Gower Endowed Primary School? Then sealant in washrooms, kitchens and changing areas can be renewed around term times or opening hours.

Questions to ask before booking

  • How long to leave it before use
  • How the surfaces are prepared before sealing
  • Who does the work, and how experienced they are

10 questions to ask before booking

For landlords and businesses

Whether it’s one flat or a portfolio, the work is the same standard: old sealant fully removed, joints prepared properly and a 12-month guarantee.

We work for landlords and letting agents as well as homeowners. Sealant work between tenants keeps a property looking cared for before the next move-in.

What we cannot put right

Honest advice matters more to us than a booking, so here’s what sealant can’t fix:

  • Tiles coming off the wall
  • Leaking pipework, valves or wastes (a plumber’s job)
  • Cracked trays or baths rather than failed joints

If you are not sure, just call 0345 464 0079 or send us an email and we’ll give you a straight answer.

Sibford Gower: your questions answered

Can you do commercial sealant in Sibford Gower?

Yes. We work across London and the South East, and Sibford Gower is part of that. You can ring 0345 464 0079 or email us and let us know what needs doing, and we will give you a clear price.

Is there a guarantee on commercial sealant in Sibford Gower?

Every job comes with our one-year guarantee, wherever it is. We are fully insured, and an ARBOMaster approved applicator.

Is out-of-hours working possible?

Often, yes. Tell us your opening hours and quiet times, and we’ll plan the work around them.

What do you put in the joint?

We choose the sealant for the joint, not the other way round. Where it moves, gets wet or faces the weather makes a difference.

Do you hold any approvals?

Yes. We’re approved under the ARBOMaster scheme, the approved applicator scheme for Arbo sealants.

Do you offer different sealant colours?

We’ll suggest a colour to suit the surroundings. The choice depends on the product the joint needs.

Do you remove the old sealant?

Yes. Sealing over the old bead is the commonest cause of early failure, and it’s something we never do.

Will there be a smell?

Sometimes, a little. It fades as the sealant cures.

How it works

You don’t need to clear the whole room or building before we come, just the space around the work. Everything nearby is protected, and the job takes a morning for a small washroom, and a planned programme for bigger sites for a typical job. Somewhere like Sibford Gower needs a little journey planning: let us know about lanes, gates and parking. We bring what the job needs, so it can be finished in one trip where possible.

  1. We agree a programme with you: which rooms, in what order, at what times.
  2. Tell us what paperwork your site needs, and we confirm what we can supply before any work starts.
  3. In each room, the old bead comes out and the joint is cleaned and treated.
  4. We reseal with the right product for each joint.
  5. Each finished area is checked with you and given a cure time.

Before we arrive

  • Let us know about stairs, lifts or work at height
  • Let us know if you’ve seen damp or leaks
  • Tell us about any previous sealing or DIY attempts

Hard water is the norm across most of the South East, so limescale builds up on sealant, grout and fittings.

What happens if it’s left?

Room by room, the work is quick: it takes anything from a few hours to several days, depending on the number of rooms. Each area is then left to cure for the time we give you, so planning the order matters more than the hours on site. Where a wall is exposed, as many are in small places like Sibford Gower, wind-driven rain gets into any failed joint, and older walls, once damp, take a long time to dry.

A few things move the cost up or down: the old material and how easily it comes out, any mould to treat, and whether we need extra access for height. We take all of that into account in your quote.

What you get with us

  • Tidy, careful work
  • You choose the colour before work begins
  • Anti-fungal silicone where joints get wet
  • 12-month guarantee on every job

See our cost guide or our reviews.

Should I try it myself first?

Overfilling a joint is a classic DIY mistake. A thick, smeared bead looks untidy and does not move well, and the joint depth matters as much as the finish.

Sealing over old silicone is the commonest DIY error. New silicone will not bond to old, so it lifts and traps water and mould underneath. All the old material has to come out first.
