Massetts Road is a typical Horley road — 1930s semis, solid construction, been there nearly a hundred years. Customer called about black mould coming back around the bath. When I had a look, someone had resealed over the top of the old sealant rather than removing it. That's why the mould kept coming back — it was never properly dealt with underneath.
What I did: Took both layers out completely. On 1930s properties I always check the surface carefully — older baths can have enamel that needs treating before you apply anything. Cleaned it back, dried it out, then applied Everbuild C3 anti-fungal white silicone all the way round. Clean bead, tooled off neat.

Westvale Park is a big development — over 1,500 homes built north-west of Horley town centre. Good houses, but I get a steady stream of calls from people who've been in for 12 to 18 months and the shower seal has already failed. This customer on Cavell Way was the same story. The builder had applied sealant over a dusty surface that hadn't been properly primed — it just peeled away.
What I did: Removed everything back to bare tray and tile edges. Cleaned and primed the surfaces properly. Kitchen & Bathroom Reseal — Victoria Road, Horley
Victoria Road runs right through the middle of Horley — mix of older properties and some more modern conversions near the station. This was a landlord job. Tenant had moved out and the letting agent could see the kitchen worktop sealant had shrunk and the bathroom needed fully resealing before the new tenant moved in.
